«Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory» – the leading music university of the Republic of Kazakhstan providing vocational training of experts in the sphere of music education. For years of work, personnel of the Conservatory gained a unique experience of training faculty at the highest level, who are demanded not only in Kazakhstan, but also far beyond its boundaries. The Republican Public Institution «Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory» graduated a great number of the outstanding performers and artists who are adequately representing our state as in the neighboring and foreign countries.
Today, «Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory» is a modern, dynamically developing higher education institution. The main objective of educational process is formation of a successful graduate, who will be demanded by society as a creative specialist capable of self-developing. The training, concert and research programs as well as projects developed by faculty are directed to graduate a universal musician.
The facilities of the Conservatory include and not limited to modernly equipped spacious audiences, the Big concert hall, the Chamber hall, the Small concert hall, sports, training halls, the reading room, class subscription, library and a media library, computer classes, the Internet, a TV-radio complex, printing house, a musical workshop, dining room and etc. Dormitory for nonresident students has 42 training rooms, reading and sports halls, household appliances and new furniture. Students of Conservatory are engaged in playing new instruments of the best Japanese and German firms (Steinway&Sons, Grotrian-Steinweg, Bluthner, Seiler, August Forster, Yamaha), and also electronic instruments for the string quartet.
In recent years, international cooperation and creative groups’ touring life significantly increased.
«Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory» is the organizer of large international festivals and competitions, such as International contest of pianists, International festival of master classes, International festival of modern music "Nauryz-21", International contest of chamber music, contest of traditional music "Asyl Mura" and etc.
Since 2004, the Conservatory made a smooth transition to the credit system of education. We gradually introduce new specialties for undergraduate and graduate programs, such as "Art-Management". In the near future, the TV-radio complex created at the Conservatory will offer a degree of sound engineers and producers, musical critics, editors and broadcasters of radio programs. Languages of instruction - Kazakh and Russian.
